The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Macedonia, Zoran Konjanovski, visited today the municipality of Kichevo where he held a meeting with the mayor Blagoja Despotoski. During the meeting locations were determined where the apartments for the ARM members will be built, in the framework of the project “ARM My True Home” and it was also agreed the municipality of Kichevo to free the Ministry of Defence of public utilities taxes.

Minister Konjanovski today in Kichevo also informed about the space in the barracks that the Ministry of Defence will put into function for the development of the municipality and the reconstruction of the Kichevo barracks was announced.

- In about two months we will begin with the regulation of the facilities in the garrisons of the barracks because we believe that nothing has been invested here for a long time. About 60 million denars are planned for the regulation of the facilities here in the garrison and I believe that the members of the Army from July 1 or August 1 at the latest this year will have excellent conditions, stated Konjanovski.

The mayor of the municipality of Kichevo, Blagoja Despotoski stated that the local self-government will make sure the price of those apartments to be much lower than the price of the apartments in Skopje or the other cities.

- Kichevo as a city is receiving much more because we are getting hold of attractive construction land of several hectares and several facilities that the Army is assigning to us in the city centre, stated Despotoski expressing gratitude to Minister Konjanovski and to the Government.

In the framework of the visit, Minister Konjanovski in the company of the mayor, the MP from Kichevo as well as representatives from the General Staff of the ARM, also visited the “Chede Filiposki – Dame” barracks, where the area was considered for construction, reconstruction and assigning in function of the municipality.
