Minister of Defence, Zoran Konjanovski, is from today, 04 February 2010 (Thursday) in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey, where tomorrow he will participate on the Informal Meeting of Ministers of Defence of NATO member states and states that are not part of the Alliance, but who give their own contribution towards the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan - ISAF.

The meeting represents a regular coordination of activities of the international community for gaining a secure, prosperous and self-sustainable Afghanistan. The meeting of the ministers will be focused on the progress in gaining appropriate conditions for handing over security responsibility for Afghanistan, to the Afghan authorities, as well as the achieved progress in the implementation of the preliminary assessment of the ISAF Commander, General Stanley McChrystal.

In the margins of the meeting, Minister Zoran Konjanovski will hold separate meetings with Ministers of Defence, from NATO member states, and from states that contribute in ISAF.
