146 apartments will be built on part of the Tetovo barracks “Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu” in the framework of the project “ARM My True Home”, noted the Minister of Defence Zoran Konjanovski after the meeting with the mayor Sadi Bexheti.

Part of the area of the barracks, where it is foreseen to build apartments, will be handed over to the local self-government which should urbanize the area and prepare a detailed urbanization plan.

- The area needs to be urbanized in the first phase of the work, and then the preparation of the project documentation which needs to be finished by July will follow. I expect at the end of October or beginning of November, if everything goes according to plan, the construction to begin. We will request the construction company to build them in 16 to 18 months or the apartments to be ready to be occupied until the middle of 2012, said Konjanovski.

He, along with Bexheti, visited the barracks and the location where it is foreseen for the apartments to be built after the meeting in the local self-government.

- We responded positively on the request, we are prepared always to help the Army. We requested part of the land to be given to the municipality, and later we will inform the citizens what we plan on building here, but however it will be something in the general interest o f the citizens, said Bexheti.

The Minister announced that the conducted survey between ARM members showed that there is a need to build around 4,000 apartments which will be sold at a favourable price
