On February 23 2010, in the premises of the MOD and GS of the ARM, a Coordinative meeting was held between an expert team from the United States European Command (EUCOM) and senior authorities from the MOD and GS of the ARM.

The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Emil Dimitriev, who expressed our interest to become host nation for the military medical exercise MEDCEUR 2011.

The meeting represents an initial activity which begins the planning process for realization of the exercise and in that direction on 24 February 2010 a visit will be carried out on the MR Krivolak and the “Jane Sandanski” barracks in Shtip, with the goal of preparing a plan for reconstruction and adaptation of the capacities that would be used.

The exercise will be carried out in 2011 and will be attended by representatives from the Ministry of Defence, Army of the Republic of Macedonia, Ministry of Health, Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia, Crises Management Centre and Directorate for Protection and Rescue, as well as the appropriate institutions from the countries in the region.
