On July 12, 2007, the Minister of Defence, Lazar Elenovski, visited Istanbul, where he attended the handover of the COMSEEBRIG duty – Commander of SEEBRIG and Chairperson of the Political and Military Management Committee of the Peace Multinational Forces of South East Europe and the Coordinative Committee for Defense Cooperation of the South East European Countries.
On this event, the Republic of Macedonia became a host country of the Secretariat of the Political and Military Management Committee in the Peace Multinational Forces of South East Europe and the Coordinative Committee for Defence Cooperation of the South East European Countries, for the period between July 12, 2007 and July/August, 2009¸ presided by DR. Radica Gareva, State Councilor in the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Macedonia.
